Terms of Service

Recnovo is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live). By using Recnovo you confirm you meet that age or have your guardian's consent.

You own your recordings, transcripts, summaries, and notes. Recnovo claims no ownership over your content. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service you ask for — storing your encrypted content, syncing it between your devices, and sending the relevant audio or text to our AI providers when you use an AI feature. How that processing works, and who the providers are, is described in the Privacy Policy.

Transcripts, summaries, answers, and other AI-generated output are produced by machine-learning models and can contain errors — misheard words, wrong speaker labels, incorrect summaries, or plausible-sounding statements that are simply false. AI output is a drafting aid, not a verified record. Before relying on it for anything with consequences (medical, legal, financial, or contractual decisions), verify it against the audio — the app links every answer back to its source so you can. We do not warrant the accuracy of AI output.

Stored recordings are end-to-end encrypted with keys held on your device. This design means we cannot read your stored content — and it also means we cannot recover it for you. If you lose access to your device and to any recovery method you set up (such as a recovery PIN), your encrypted content is permanently unreadable, by you and by us. Please set up and safeguard a recovery method.

Laws on recording conversations differ by country and state — some require the consent of everyone being recorded. You are responsible for recording lawfully and for obtaining any consent your jurisdiction requires. Recnovo is a tool; how and where you record with it is your responsibility.

Core recording and organizing are free. AI features consume credits, which you obtain through purchases processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Credits are charged per use, based on the actual cost of the processing you request — this covers AI processing (transcription, summaries, translations, chat, study materials) and the monthly cost of keeping your cloud copy (storage and sync). Per-operation deduction rates may be adjusted — for example when provider prices change — with material changes announced in advance; adjustments apply only to future use and never reduce the credit balance you already hold. Purchases, refunds, and billing disputes are handled under the store's terms; we do not receive your payment card details.

If your balance cannot cover the monthly storage fee, your stored data remains fully accessible. After 3 consecutive unpaid months, new cloud uploads are paused (existing data stays readable, downloadable, and deletable); after 6 consecutive unpaid months we send a final notice, and if the fee remains unpaid 30 days later, the cloud copy of your recordings may be removed. Your account, purchase history, and any data on your own devices are never affected, and topping up at any time immediately resets this process. Each step is notified in advance in-app and by email.

Where the law of your country grants a right of withdrawal or cooling-off period for digital purchases (for example, the EU Consumer Rights Directive, or consumer laws in Korea, Japan, Spain, and France), that right applies. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and refunds are handled under the store's policies; contact the store to request a refund. Nothing here limits any non-waivable statutory right you have as a consumer.

Do not use Recnovo to break the law, to infringe others' rights, to attempt to access other users' data, or to probe, overload, or disrupt the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

The product is evolving quickly during early access; features may change, and AI features depend on third-party providers whose availability we do not control. We work to keep the service reliable but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Where a required provider is unavailable, an AI request may fail or be served by a backup provider, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses caused by reliance on AI output, unlawful recording, or loss of encryption keys as described above. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections in your country.

You can stop using Recnovo and delete your account at any time from within the app; deletion removes your stored content and account data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where required.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without depriving you of protections granted by the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
